Mini Split/Ductless AC Services

Old buildings and ductwork rarely get along. Brownstones, converted lofts, older co-ops - half the units we visit simply were not built for central air, which is exactly why ductless systems have become the go-to fix across the city. A mini-split lets every room run its own temperature, no wall-cutting required. Cold living room, warmer bedroom - whatever the household actually wants, without one thermostat deciding for everyone. Getting the PTAC installation in NYC right matters more with these systems than people expect. Most repair calls come down to the same few things - a slow refrigerant leak, a compressor on its way out, or condensate dripping somewhere it should not. We check the actual cause first. Nobody's paying us to swap a part that wasn't broken in the first place.

Because there's no ductwork to lose efficiency through, maintenance stays fairly light - mostly filter cleaning and keeping the outdoor unit clear of debris. Skip it for a couple of years, though, and even a good system starts working harder than it should.
